Description

HESS After Sales Service provides solutions for optimizing your HESS concrete block machine. The first
optimization package focuses on reducing cycle times through process improvements and automation.
Another bundle is designed to enhance product quality by implementing raw material inspections, utilizing
advanced technologies, and providing personnel training. The third package outlines measures for
minimizing downtime through efficient maintenance scheduling and the incorporation of monitoring
systems. All three packages offer services and products aimed at improving the efficiency, quality, and
availability of concrete block machines. The target audience includes owners of concrete block machines,
specifically models such as the RH 1500 and RH 2000.

Cycle times optimization

Description

Optimization of cycle times in the manufacturing process is based on measures and strategies that aim at reducing production times and increasing efficiency. Various approaches can be adopted to achieve these goals, including:

  • Process analysis and improvement: Identification and eliminating bottlenecks and inefficient processes.
  • Automation: Utilization of machines and technologies to reduce manual and labor-intensive tasks.
  • Training and advanced training: Enhancing employee skills and knowledge to minimize errors and boost productivity.
  • Maintenance management: Routine maintenance and servicing of machines prevents unexpected downtime.

Optimizing cycle times helps reduce production costs, improve product quality, and increase customer satisfaction.

Product Information

C-mix double silo with adjustable rear panel

VN00000073

Product Description

When using a double silo, it’s essential to dispense concrete from both silo flaps into the filler box to prevent the concrete from curing above the silo flaps.

However, this can result in an excess of concrete in the filler box, particularly for products that require only a small amount of coarse mix, like slabs. This excess makes it challenging to adjust the filling of the mold with coarse mix, complicating the process of setting the face mix thickness and the overall product height.

Thanks to the adjustable rear panel, the rear silo flap closes; only the front silo flap is used for production. This allows batching of smaller concrete quantities into the filler box with consistent accuracy. The silo laser 2 is disabled during production with only silo flap 1.

The installation of an adjustable rear wall is advisable for pallet sizes of 1100 mm or greater.

In automatic mode, flap 2 opens every 10 cycles. This prevents residual concrete from accumulating on flap 2. Product description

Your Benefits

Smaller quantities of concrete can be dispensed in the filler box with consistent accuracy since the rear flap is closed and only the front flap is used during production.

Products such as slabs with a thickness less than 60 mm can be produced with significantly better quality and fewer rejects.

It is advisable to install an adjustable rear wall for pallet sizes of 1100 mm or greater.

In automatic mode, flap 2 opens every 10 cycles to prevent residual concrete from accumulating.

When it is necessary to dispense concrete from both silo flaps into the filler box to prevent the concrete from curing above the silo flaps, excess concrete may enter the filler box, particularly for products that require only a small amount of coarse mix, like slabs. This excess makes it challenging to adjust filling of the mold with coarse mix, complicating the process of setting the face mix thickness as well as the overall product height.

Coarsemix Filler Box with Adjustable Back Wall and Pneumatic Scraper

VN00000076

Product Description

Wear plates made of PA 6.6 prevent the box from twisting during production.

The filling box is screwed together from two side parts, the front wall and the adjustable rear wall.

In addition, the rear wall can be flexibly adjusted to different production depths. Thus, the customer has the possibility to produce different production depths.

The height of the filling box can be adjusted at all four support points by means of the adjustment screw. In addition, the contact pressure of the filling box on the support brackets can be adjusted with pressure springs.

Tension springs are used to lift the scraper plate, guaranteeing a long and reliable service life.

Longer wear bars so that the scraper bar is completely enclosed.

Connection between swing arm and filling carriage designed to be dismountable.

The scraper bar of the pneumatic scraper has been fitted with pressure screws to prevent the scraper bar from slipping.

Your Benefits

The rear wall of the filling carriage can be flexibly adapted to different production depths. This gives you the option of producing different production depths. Due to longer wear strips, the material is kept in the mould area and does not collect next to the filling box. To prevent additional material loss, scraper bars are fitted to the front and rear walls. The filling car frame cannot be damaged by wear of the swing arm bearing, as the connection has been designed to be demountable.

The various revisions of the filling carriage guarantee high product quality, improve ease of maintenance and reduce the failure rate.

Retrofit Rotating Tamper Head Brush Facemix Filler Box (without Filler Box Frame)

VN00000182

Product Description

Retrofitting of an electrically or hydraulically driven, rotating charging brush to the existing face concrete filler box (without replacing the filler box frame).

The rotating brush concept allows for quick disassembly. This means that you can use both the rotating brush and the straight brush. This option is necessary to be able to react to different products and thus to different shapes.

Your Benefits

The rotating loading brush results in considerably improved cleaning of the ram plates, which reduces the tendency to stick when processing difficult facing concretes. If necessary, a second brush position is maintained in the software.

The gear motor version has the following advantages in comparison with the hydraulic motor:

On the one hand, there is no need to install hydraulics on the filling carriage. In addition, valves and the associated piping are saved. On the other hand, there is no longer the danger of dripping hydraulic oil getting onto the products and thus producing rejects.

By changing the drive position in the rear area of the filling carriage, contamination of the drive is also prevented.

Scope of Delivery

  • Brush holder incl. gear motor or hydraulic motor
  • Round brush with plastic bristles
  • Electrical installation material
  • Hydraulic installation material (for hydraulic motor)
  • Adaptation of drawing/documentation
  • Adaptation of hardware plans
