With the Hess inline QA, you revolutionize quality control in concrete block production - fully automatic, contactless and directly on the production line. The state-of-the-art system detects defects in real time and reduces manual inspection processes to a minimum - without interrupting the production flow.
 

Impressive precision: real-time quality assurance on the wet side

The inline QA system records every single concrete block immediately after shaping on the wet side of the production line. With the help of 3D scanners, high-resolution color cameras and AI-supported evaluation, relevant quality features such as:

• Height and volume
• Density and weight
• Color and surface structure
• Defects such as cracks, chipping and lifting

are checked fully automatically and with maximum precision - without stopping production.

Technological highlights of the Inline-QS
 

• Non-contact height measurement with color indication (resolution up to 0.5 mm)
• Detection of the smallest defects from an area of 1 mm² or a height difference of 0.5 mm
• Product-specific tolerance limits can be set directly in the system control unit
• Differentiation of defect types through color coding (e.g. cracks = pink)
• 99 % hit rate thanks to intelligent differentiation between contamination and genuine defect

Integration & ease of use - simple, intuitive, flexible

The evaluation of the test data takes place seamlessly in the familiar machine visualization of the Hess Group. An additional display unit ensures that all relevant key production figures and error patterns are visible at a glance. This makes it easier for the operating personnel to react immediately - for example by adjusting mixing ratios or machine settings.
