We offer both technical and commercial apprenticeships – tailored to different strengths, interests and school-leaving qualifications. All apprenticeships last between 3 and 3.5 years.

Machine Tool Operator

3.5 years’ training
 

Using CNC machines and conventional machining centres, you’ll manufacture high-precision components to technical drawings – a career that demands precision and technical skill.

TECHNICAL

Electronics Technician specialising in Industrial Engineering

3.5 years’ training

From switchgear to control systems: you will install, maintain and repair electrical systems, from design through to final assembly and quality assurance.

Construction Mechanic

3.5 years’ training

You’ll be using sheet metal, sections and tubes to create precision parts and entire machine components. You’ll experience first-hand how individual parts come together to form a complete machine.

Mechatronics Engineer

3.5 years’ training

The combination of mechanics, electronics and computer science: you will install and programme complex mechatronic systems, making you a versatile problem-solver in modern manufacturing.

Technical Product Designer

3.5 years’ training

You will develop technical drawings and 3D models that are incorporated directly into the design and manufacture of our machines. Using CAD systems, you will give shape to ideas – making them precise, well thought-out and feasible.

IT Specialist in Systems Integration

3 years’ training

You will plan, install and maintain IT systems and networks, ensuring that our digital infrastructure runs smoothly. From troubleshooting to system optimisation, you will be the first point of contact for all IT-related matters.

Warehouse Logistics Specialist

3 years’ training

You ensure that the right parts are in the right place at the right time – from goods receipt through to storage and order picking. Without you, production would come to a standstill.

COMMERCIAL

Industrial Business Administrator

3 years’ training

From procurement and sales to human resources and management accounting: you’ll gain an insight into the commercial backbone of an international mechanical engineering company.
 

Training workshop & training facilities

HESS GROUP has its own training workshop at its headquarters in Burbach-Wahlbach, where industrial and technical apprentices are specifically prepared for their practical tasks.
